ABOUT KIRSTY LATOYA

Kirsty Latoya, known creatively as KirzArt, is a self-taught digital artist from South London whose work blends emotion, storytelling and bold visual expression. Beginning with traditional sketching before discovering digital illustration, she developed her signature technique of creating art with her finger on her iPad — a method that brings warmth, texture and intention to every piece.

Kirsty’s artwork explores themes of mental health, identity, womanhood and culture, using rich colour and narrative detail to spark conversation and connection. Her work has been featured by BuzzFeed, HuffPost, ITV, and even spotlighted at 10 Downing Street, gaining recognition for its honesty and emotional depth.

A passionate creative, Kirsty has collaborated with major brands including Apple, and has led workshops that blend art with healing, reflection and storytelling. In 2018, she published her debut book Reflections of Me, a collection of digital art and poetry rooted in personal experiences with mental health and emotional resilience. She has since contributed to the books A Place for Me and I Wanted to Quit, sharing her voice through creative, cultural and reflective writing.

Through her art, workshops, books and public conversations, Kirsty continues to champion mental health awareness, creative expression and the power of storytelling — inspiring others to embrace their identity and find connection through colour and emotion.
